1995Spring Reported 5/28 St. Louis MH.
1995Fall Reported 9/6 Lakewood Pumping Station, St. Louis County (possible Long-tailed) KE, 10/4 St. Louis (2, probable Parasitics) MH.
1996Fall Reported 9/1 St. Louis (2–3) fide KE, 9/5–6 St. Louis (1) TT et al., 10/17 St. Louis (1) mob, all of these in Duluth.
1997Spring Unidentified jaeger 5/23 St. Louis DRa.
1999Spring Reported 5/22 St. Louis (Park Point in Duluth) mob. Although still very rare at this season, this fits the recent pattern (eight of the past ten years) of at least one jaeger in Duluth during spring migration.
2000Fall Four reports from L. Superior in St. Louis County: 9/13 (immature) KJB, SLC, 9/22 (2) PHS, 10/15 fide KRE, and 10/21 DRB. Also 10/14 Aitkin (immature; exceptional location on Mille Lacs L.) †WEN, WMS. All were probable Parasitics, but note the date for this fall's Pomarine.
2001Spring Single Parasitic/Pomarine 5/19 St. Louis (Duluth) †PCC.
2001Fall Exceptionally early jaeger 8/1 Cass (Cass L.) †SCH was submitted as a probable Parasitic, but the submitted description did not completely eliminate Long-tailed. A distant jaeger at the Superior Entry 9/23 St. Louis †RPR showed characteristics of Pomarine, but the bird was prudently left unidentified. Another unidentified jaeger was late at Duluth 10/14 St. Louis JRN.
2003Fall Reported at Duluth, St. Louis County 9/18 DDT, 9/24 MTA, MH, 9/28 m.obs., 10/1 PHS, 10/30 (2) MTA. Unusual date and location 10/23 Lake (Two Harbors, no details) fide DRB.
2004Spring Two unidentified jaegers with short central rectrices, one all dark and the other with a light belly, 5/22 St. Louis (Park Point, Duluth) m.obs.
2004Fall Reported at Duluth 9/6 (1), 9/15 (4), 9/16–18 (1), 9/24–25 (1), 9/27 (2), 10/19 (1).
2005Fall Reported at Duluth 9/9 (adult) †MTA, MLH, 9/10 (juvenile) PHS, 9/18 (age?) PHS, 9/19 (juvenile light morph) JPM, CMB, 9/24–25 (juvenile dark morph) m.ob., 9/28–29 (adult or subadult) PHS, 10/4 (1) DDM, BJM. Possible juvenile at Lock and Dam #2 in Hastings 9/27 Dakota TEB.
2006Fall At least five different individuals observed at Duluth between 9/19 (2) and 10/7 (1), including 9/21–9/23 (5) when at least five Parasitics were also present.
2007Summer1 Reported as a Parasitic and accepted as an unidentified jaeger 7/15 Cass (Pelican Island, Leech Lake) †BAW, †DAY. Second county record, following another unidentified jaeger at Cass Lake, 1 August 2001 (The Loon 74:95).
2007Fall2 One unidentified Stercorarius jaeger observed 9/3 over Springsteel Island in Roseau was possibly a Long-tailed (DiR, KRE). Another unidentified jaeger was seen 9/14 St. Louis (Park Point, Duluth) at the same time as two Parasitics PHS.
2008Spring1 Two unidentified jaegers observed 5/24 St. Louis †DWK et al.
2008Fall1 Reports of unidentified jaegers: 9/21 St. Louis (2 imm. dark morph, Minnesota side of Superior Entry) PHS, m.ob., 9/27 St. Louis LS, 9/28 St. Louis (Park Point) BAF and (ad. light morph, Park Point, probably a Parasitic) KRE, 10/11 St. Louis PHS.
2009Fall1 Unidentified jaegers observed 9/10 St. Louis (Minnesota Point) PHS, 9/18 St. Louis (Superior Entry) †PHS.
2010Fall1 Unidentified jaegers observed in Duluth, St. Louis 9/16 (Park Point) KRE, 9/25–26 St. Louis (Superior Entry) NAn, TPr, PHS, 10/15 St. Louis (juv. with subadult Parasitic, Park Point) PHS.
2011Fall1 Five observations of unidentified jaegers were reported from St. Louis: 9/16 (subadult, Park Point R.A.) PHS, 9/22 St. Louis (4 juv., Park Point R.A.) PHS, 9/25 St. Louis (juv., Superior Entry) PHS, 10/1 St. Louis (probable Parasitic, Park Point R.A.) KRE.
2013Spring1 The only jaeger of the season was seen offshore and prudently left unidentified: 5/21 St. Louis (Park Point R.A.) PHS.
2013Fall1 Individuals prudently left unidentified were found at Park Point/Superior Entry in St. Louis on 9/20, 9/25, and 10/6.
2014Spring1Several reports of unidentified jaegers were also exceptionally early: 5/11 St. Louis (Park Point) CAs, 5/16 St. Louis (Park Point) MLH, PHS.
2014Fall1 A dark-morph jaeger 9/30 St. Louis (Park Point) KRE was left unidentified.
2015Fall1 All north 9/10 St. Louis HHD, 9/24 St. Louis (Park Point) BAF, (3 flying together at Superior Entry) RJ.
2017Fall1 Unidentified jaegers were seen in St. Louis 9/17 LiH, 10/3 (Stoney Point) TRd, StK, 10/4 (McQuade Small Craft Harbor) TRd, 10/6 (Stoney Point) TRd, StK.
2018Fall1 Unidentified jaegers were seen in St. Louis 9/14 (Park Point R.A.) ASu, 9/15 (Park Point R.A.) JJu, 9/17 St. Louis (Park Point R.A.) REn, 10/3 St. Louis (Park Point R.A.) KRE.
2019Fall3 Jaegers not identified to species were seen 9/11 St. Louis (2, Park Point R.A.) ebd, 9/14 Lake (Gooseberry Falls S.P.) JJu, 9/21 Cook (near Colville) AXH, 9/24 St. Louis H.R.B.O.
2020Fall2 Jaegers not identified to species were seen 9/9 Lake (Two Harbors, immature) JWL, 9/12–13 St. Louis (Park Point R.A., dark morph) JWL, AGu.
2021Spring1 All north 5/15–16 St. Louis (Park Point R.A.) StK, m.ob.
2021Fall11 First-cycle found 9/18 Sherburne ph. TLM. Others were seen in St. Louis 9/11 (first-cycle dark morph, Superior Entry) EzH, 9/22 (Park Point R.A.) TCL, 9/25 (immature, Park Point R.A.) ClN, m.ob., 9/30 (Park Point R.A.) IDv.
2021Winter1 One record: 12/2 Ramsey (dark immature, Gervais Lake) ph. †MWS. Distance and lighting precluded species identification; possibly this was the Pomarine Jaeger photographed the previous day in Elk River, Sherburne Co. (about 35 miles to the northwest), but photos are inconclusive. It is the latest date for any jaeger in the state.
2022Spring1 One report 5/27 St. Louis (Park Point R.A.) EHi.
